I can't believe what happened yesterday, I got the coach to Manchester at 3pm which took 2 hours and I was waiting in Manchester for 2 hours before Sarah came for me, as soon as she got there we went to the Apollo and tried to find our seats, we were high up, even though our ticketseller told Sarah stalls on the phone :( ... Steve Appleton came on as scheduled and then finished, leaving us with a half hour break.
By the time we decided to go for a drink, the bar was closed, so we was dehydrated the whole concert haha. Then Anastacia came on, and the reception was much louder than Birmingham! Her voice was out of this world of course, like every show, and pieces of a dream was the first time I heard it live, and I loved it. Some particular moments I remember are when she tried to do a moonwalk up the stairs but couldn't do it so she just walked haha. Another thing is when she said "even though i'm filled with diseases you still love me so there's hope for everybody!", which I thought was really funny. After cowboys and kisses she was like "I don't get this business, I come on and your like 'yay' but when Tom comes on your like 'YAAAAAAAAY!!! It's so unfair!"
During the crazy dance Ana invited a man called Peter on stage, she asked him if he was married and he said "it depends", which the audience screamed and applaused at. That followed on with some hot dance moves haha and Ana signed a free tourbook for him :).
When she was talking after one of the songs someone threw two bags of doritos on stage and she held them against her bum and was dancing a bit with them.
Ana was saying how her guitarist looks African but when he talks she remembers that she has a full British band and he has to remind her "I'm English love! You just gotta forget what I look like."
A hilarious thing is when she was talking about the fact she only gets offered commercials for things like brussel sprouts and she was like "we have a new commercial for you!" "Oh cool!" "For brussel sprouts..." "Oh.. cool?" "You can eat as many brussel sprouts as you want!" Then she was like why couldn't she be on a commercial for doritos, where doritos fly through the air and she's jumping after them munching them.
Just before the finale of heavy rotation, i'm outta love and left outside alone, one of, I think, Anastacia's security guards came and collected us because Anastacia wanted to see me! We walked through the side of the crowd in the stalls and went through a door only to be taken backstage. Someone from the crew said 'he was in Birmingham!' as I walked past. Then we met Shawn, god she's so nice, she was telling me how Anastacia loved my letter and was sorry that I couldn't meet her at the beginning of the show because something hectic was going on. Before I told them about it, the band knew about Anastaciadreams and they visit it sometimes, Anastacia asked to see it, she said it's really cool! I'm so happy
. I was just sad I couldn't get to the shop in time in Manchester to buy something for them both. We chatted a bit and then Anastacia ran out, looked at me smiling and said You're awesome!! I was like in shock oh my god, so I said no i'm not, you are haha and hugged her :) (with a pen in my hand, so I said oooh watch the pen I don't want to write on you again xD). Then I heard someone behind the bars say Hi Callum, I turned and recognised a fan from candids from 'This Morning'.
We took a picture together, and I didn't know how to work the camera
- Shawn took it for us, it was a special moment, even more than meeting her at the hotel in Birmingham because it was me and her this time, thankyou to the Italian girls for helping me to do this (I know a lot of people have, but please don't ask them, they don't organise meet and greets or ask Anastacia, Anastacia asked for me, that's the only reason why) and Anastacia and Shawn for making it possible, thankyou! 02 Jul 2009 • On the Road with Anastacia Posted by Gabriel · 0 Comments There are two new vids at the Anastacia's official channel. I thought I would share some of the travel we have to do....The whole crew had to fly back from the gig in Cork,Ireland which I have to say was one of the most fun shows so far!!! The audience were so energetic and my dance off partner from the audience gave me some heavy competition!!!!
hope you get a laugh from my attempt at being camera woman....a rare sighting of my sister as she much prefers being behind the camera....

Also, you might have noticed pieces of a dream wasn't performed recently in Birmingham, along with wishing well, the good news is that pieces of a dream is back on the setlist!
